Children’s Charity Crusade

OVERVIEW

Children in grades 3-5 will organize their own collection drive to support a local non-profit. This initiative will help them develop skills in leadership, teamwork, and community service while positively impacting those in need. It's an inspiring adventure that teaches social responsibility.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Each participant should write a short essay on their chosen non-profit. Ensure it reflects grade-level writing skills and clearly communicates their thoughts.

  • Students will discover why getting involved in the community matters, learning how their actions can make a positive impact and build a sense of responsibility to those around them.

  • When working in groups, students will team up with their peers, learning to appreciate different viewpoints and use everyone's strengths to reach common goals.

  • By taking the reins on a task, students will boost their self-motivation and leadership skills, seeing the perks of being proactive in both personal and school life.

  • Students will get creative with how they communicate and promote their collection drive, using different media and fresh ideas to capture their audience’s attention.

  • Creativity will be highlighted as a key skill, pushing students to think outside the box and come up with original ideas that help their projects succeed.

Children’s Charity Crusade empowers students to make a difference in their communities by supporting a cause / organization of their choosing, and to see the fruits of their efforts and more importantly having fun while doing it!
